As many as 30 college students of a medical school hooked up to civic-run KEM Hospital right here have examined constructive for COVID-19, an official stated on Thursday. One of them had delicate signs and was admitted to Seven Hills Hospital, stated the official of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Others have been asymptomatic and have been solely quarantined, he added. These have been college students of the primary and second-year MBBS course and 28 of them had taken each doses of COVID-19 vaccines, he stated. All the contaminated college students stayed within the hostel situated contained in the hospital advanced in Parel in central Mumbai, the official stated.
Earlier, 60 college students of Bengaluru-based Sri Chaitanya School have examined constructive for coronavirus. The boarding faculty has now been sealed by native authorities. All the scholars who’ve been examined constructive are from lessons 11 and 12. While 46 are from Karnataka, 14 college students are from Tamil Nadu. Out of the 60 college students who examined constructive, two are symptomatic.
