Serie A: AC Milan gamers focused with racism in consecutive video games

For the second consecutive sport, an AC Milan participant was the goal of racist chants. Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, who’s Black, used his Instagram account to boost consciousness after being showered with discriminatory insults by Juventus followers throughout a 1-1 draw on Sunday.

“Do the people who take decisions know what it feels to hear insults that portray us as animals?” Maignan mentioned. “Do they know what it does to our household, to our kinfolk who simply cannot perceive why this stuff maintain occurring in 2021?

“I am not a victim’ of racism. I am Mike, standing up, black and proud. As long as we will be able to raise our voice and make a difference, we’ll do it.”

Tiémoué Bakayoko and fellow Milan midfielder Franck Kessié, each of whom are Black, had been the targets of derogatory chants from Lazio supporters within the Rossoneri’s earlier match. The Italian soccer federation prosecutor has opened an inquiry into the incident involving Lazio followers.
