An FIR has been registered towards Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday for violating part 144 on October 4 after he sat on ‘dharna’ outdoors his Lucknow residence over Lakhimpur Kheri violence.
Yadav had staged a sit-in on October 4 as he was stopped by the police from going to Lakhimpur Kheri to fulfill the households of the 4 farmers who have been mowed down by Ministry of State (Home) Ajay Mishra’s son Ashish’s automobile on October 3. The former UP CM was additionally briefly detained by the police.
