Anaheim Ducks Pavel Mintyukov, defenseman for the Ducks, was selected with the tenth overall pick in Thursday's
first round of 2022 NHL Draft at Montreal's Bell Centre. Mintyukov (18) Mintyukov was the leading scorer for
the Saginaw Spirit (OHL) with 17-45=62 and 28 penalty minutes (PIM), respectively, in 67 games in the 2021-22
season. He ranked third among OHL defensemen (points, assists, and fifth in goals) and sixth among OHL
defensemen (points, and fifth overall). In 2021-22, Mintyukov was selected to the OHL Third All-Star Team. He was
ranked fifth by NHL Central Scouting as North American's top-ranked skater. After the pick, Pat Verbeek, Ducks
General Manager, stated that "the talent is undeniable." We're always looking for the best players in hockey. We want

1 defenseman, weighing in at 197 lbs, won a gold medal in the 2019 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. He scored
0-5=5 in six tournament games and led blueliners. Mintyukov also finished third in tournament scoring among defensemen.
