The New York Knicks are still active in major trade talks this summer. If the Mavericks remain patient, they could

reap the benefits. The Dallas Mavericks have not lived up to their expectations, except for making a trade with

Christian Wood one week before the NBA Draft. This could change as more big moves are made around the league in

the coming summer. Many believe that Donovan Mitchell, of the Utah Jazz, will be traded by the New York Knicks to the

Utah Jazz. As those talks continue, how about this: A second trade with the Los Angeles Lakers to acquire Russell

Westbrook. Marc Stein, a trusted NBA insider, suggested the idea. He quoted a source who said that the Knicks would like

to "explore options to trade away Julius Randle" in the event they acquire Mitchell. What would they do to trade

Randle? Swapping Westbrook for Randle could be the ideal solution. It would clear Randle's four year, $117 million

extension and allow Los Angeles to get rid of Westbrook who is due to make $47.1m in 2022/23, after opting out of

the last year of his contract with the Lakers.
